Having done an encouraging four-year course in Computer Engineering. I would like to focus my knowledge in the field of XXXXXXXX. I want to have in-depth knowledge in the field of data science and its related technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Mining Technique. I want to explore this field and get sound knowledge in this arena. This would give me a good understanding of the technology and useful information that I require.

Everyone has a life changing moment, which becomes a point of motivation for what they eventually pursue in life and what shapes their dreams and ultimately defines and builds their character. I had one such moment when my father bought me a new computer when I was just a tech novice. I remember being astonished by this small piece of technology and its limitless capabilities.

I got selected in one of the most reputed universities in the state. The major that I chose was computer engineering because I always wanted to contribute to this field. I first started learning computer engineering in the second year of my bachelor’s degree. Initially, I had some serious doubts about my passion. I went through a period where I lost all the self-belief. I struggled with gaining interest in the field, and this reflected poorly in my academic performance. After the second year, I slowly started developing an interest in computer programming, algorithms, database systems, and data structures. Problem-solving is one of my best traits, and made it easier to solve my problems, and hence I regenerated my confidence. 

In the 5th Semester, I represented a project on the Map-Reduce framework. It was a database related project where we presented the idea of how open-source Hadoop clusters can be processed parallel using the Map-Reduce framework and how it eases distributed processing. The project was highly appreciated by school dignitaries and my classmates.

When I was given the opportunity to work on a presentation related to data management, I realized how vast and interesting this field is. So later in my summer training, I chose to work with No SQL databases and study further about it. And the final confirming incident was when I got up-graded in Big Data technologies during my XXX training in Mysore. It was like a perfect path was getting paved for me related to my interest. Working on a data management project has helped me understand how in the real world my intended majors could help me through my career development and achieve my goals.

After completing my bachelor’s degree, I began my professional career with XXX Ltd. After my internship in this company, I was offered a full-time job. I worked on a few POCs earlier and after getting into a project, I was assigned to the data management team. I was responsible for understanding the business requirements, developing procedures for business logic, and developing rules for data cleansing.

I started getting recognized for it. I was upgraded to the development of a cloud-based C# application that automated the working of all sectors of our project. I took up the task to develop a web job that worked as a scheduler, executor, and monitor and interacted with all platforms in our projects. Its ability to scale in parallel and work with different platforms simultaneously reduced daily run time by 40%. I was appreciated by my senior tech arch after its completion. After its development, I gave demos to the client on its high-level functioning and gave KTs to our support- team.

With continuous efforts in learning while studying for my undergraduate studies and working in challenging settings to deliver the best of the products to our customers have built me as a person and instilled values in me that I realized I never had. I am well equipped to work in a challenging setting. I like to work on challenges, and therefore, I continue finding problems to solve, which helps me grow.

My strong traits are the drive and passion that I have towards learning and continuously improving myself. I possess excellent problem-solving skills, which certainly make it easier to tackle difficult situations. My long-term goal is to start a venture where using technology and providing proper analysis, I would be able to save the endangered marine ecosystem, like the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature).

I always believe, being close to nature relieves most of your stress and orients your thoughts in a positive direction so it’s our responsibility and duty to nurture our Mother Nature. Sports and extracurricular activities keep me close to nature, so I participated in district level swimming competition, drove a ramp walk campaign for the drive “SAVE THE TIGER”. I have participated in a marathon for the healthy heart campaign, organized a blood donation camp, visited an orphanage, and distributed food, books, and clothes to the needy.
